I performed Occult during the MA final show at Camberwell College of Arts, on the 6th of September 2011. I used Spanish playing cards as a means to integrate the image into the performance. Inside the delineated realm, the image becomes a magical object that determines the actions that unfold. This piece alludes to tarot, early dissection practices and Catholic ritual, and is a symbolisation of female reproductive power.
