Macrocosm Man

Macrocosm Man is a screenprint representing the medieval body and its symbolic associations, there are two inscriptions that allude to religious discourse inscribed in the body, they read ‘God created man in His own image and blessed him with intellect to rule upon the world like the brain governs the body’ ‘And under Adam’s flesh one shall find the beauty of nature, the balance in the humours, and the providence of the starts in each part.’ The zodiac signs were associated to different parts of the body.

As for Woman, she was a by-product derived from the body of Man, her flawed nature further emphasised by the (her) original sin.
